Welcome! My name is Erin Drum, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The George Washington University in 2002, followed by a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University in 2006. My academic journey has equipped me with a solid foundation in understanding the intricate dynamics of human behavior and mental health. I am an EMDR-trained clinician, having earned this designation to better support individuals’ healing from trauma and distressing life experiences. My diverse professional background encompasses a range of experiences across hospital settings, educational environments, abuse and maltreatment investigation units, and private practice. Each of these roles has deepened my understanding of the complexities of mental health and the importance of compassionate care.
Throughout my 20-year career, I have cultivated a rich tapestry of experience in various roles, including crisis intervention, parenting support, community and school-based practices, childhood abuse & neglect, and one-on-one psychotherapy. Today, my focus is on supporting adults who are navigating complex challenges such as PTSD, CPTSD, mood and anxiety disorders, depression, anger management, addiction, codependency, self-esteem issues, and trauma-related experiences.
My methodology is grounded in a person-centered, integrative approach that combines evidence-based practices with holistic methods. My work draws from psychodynamic theory, parts & inner child work, psychoeducation, mindfulness, spirituality, and emotional regulation to create a therapeutic experience that resonates with each individual’s unique journey.
I am licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Florida. My practice is based out of North Haven, Connecticut, where I offer a safe and nurturing environment for exploration and healing. Recognizing the diverse needs of my clients, I also provide telehealth services for those residing in other states where I am licensed.
